My Expanding Landscape Projects are installations and sculptures made of continuous pieces of mylar. The resulting "landscapes" investigate the interaction between the two-dimensional and three-dimensional worlds. Theses pieces are both a translation of a shadow into a physical form as well as a structure that generates complex shadows as an integral element of the complete work.
In large scale installations, viewers are able to experience this sculpture from different angles. Walking into the work they are surrounded by undulating forms. Inspired by alternative architectural methods, I transform two dimensional materials into complex three dimensional forms
