The Wave is part of my Micro/Macro Landscape Projects. The Wave grows and moves across the wall as a lichen or mold creeps over stone. The organic and balanced shape creates a sense of slow but continuing movement. The background color greatly alters the atmosphere that this piece projects; the subtle and soft feeling instills a sense of calm in the room. The repetition of the curving shapes remind me as much of aqueous movement as graceful botanical formations. The balance of structure and flexibility in the material allowed me to create fluid soft shapes that spill across the space twisting and turning in different directions.
